Nintendo Power
The first in a series of audiovisual explorations in which I compose a song and create visuals to accompany it. This day-long project began as a fun, upbeat composition inspired by the synth pop sound of the 80s and was created using a mix of VST synths, some killer retro drum samples, and a little plucking around on my electric guitar.
On the visual side, I jumped into Cinema 4D where I modeled a quick cylinder, extruding every other face, giving the Nintendo models (compliments of Turbosquid) some geometry to interact with. A few simulation tags later, this fun scene was rendered out in Octane and given a fitting VHS look via After Effects and some Red Giant Universe effects.
